A creator filmed Outlook in a viral TikTok video, leading many viewers to share their complaints (and ravings) about Microsoft’s email service in the comments.
“Outlook was created by a guy who never needed to email someone, email a fucking thing in his life,” user @maselreb said in the clip. “They’re using carrier pigeons.”
TikToker expanded on her point in the comments. “‘I’d rather die than GMail’ yes, I’d rather die in my sleep than get stabbed, but that doesn’t mean I’m not in hell,” she wrote.
Her video has racked up nearly 600,000 views since it was shared yesterday, and sparked a divisive debate among TikTokers in the comments about which email engine is better: Outlook or Gmail.

Some users shared email frustrations that coincided with the creator’s trending topic.
“Compelled to leave the email being drafted to check the schedule and afterward endure 30 minutes attempting to find the email draft,” one client composed.
“I really think I spend at least 30% of my day looking for attachments in emails in email threads. Then I give up,” another shared.
“My friend said Outlook was the best email option and I was shocked,” claimed a third.
@maselreb responded: “Ex-friend*. That guy is a psychopath.”
However, others in the comments are divided, with some arguing that Outlook is more powerful.
“Outlook is very useful and much better than gmail…” argues one TikToker.
“LMAO This is my worst and most controversial opinion, but at this point I prefer Outlook to gmail. Sorry everyone,” wrote another Outlook supporter.
The creators also responded to the comment, saying, “Yes, I also prefer Outlook to Gmail, but it doesn’t cut down on junk.”
Daily Dot reached out to @maselreb via a TikTok comment.
