“What’s the worst thing you’ve ever endured in an apartment in New York City because the rent is cheap?” she asked from another TikToker’s original video sewn.
Gelgot then pans to her view out the window of her first-floor apartment, where there is an alley filled with garbage bags.
In a reply to one user, Gelgot revealed that she had resigned from her lease.
The comments section is full of users joking and saying they could never live there.
“I can’t stand the smell or potential cockroaches and rodents,” said one user.
“‘Gated community, easy to recycle,'” joked another user.
“You’re just tossing [your trash] From outside the window to the pile? If so, it’s definitely a convenient facility,” a third user commented.
In the updated video, Carroll shared that she pays about $1,925 a month to live there. She clarified that when she signed the lease a year ago, she paid about $1,575, which already included discounts due to COVID-19. Carroll also wrote in the comments that her apartment was actually a studio, and while she hated the view, she admitted it was a nice apartment.
