Chipotle Worker calls out customers who ordered TikTok hacked meals

A TikTok Chipotle ordering hack had an employee call customers who use it to save money on their orders.

In a technique shown by TikTok creator Serena Gonzales, customers order all of their Chipotle bowl holders as sides, reducing the cost to less than $4. However, Chipotle employee Christina (@christinamaeeeee) got a customer mad for using the hack.

All I’m talking about is TikTok and you screwed me up,” she said in the video. “Because someone just ordered these tacos. In addition to ordering these tacos, they wanted two sides of tomato, two sides of vegetables, two sides of sour cream, one side of corn, one side of black rice, one side of brown rice, and one side of white rice. TikTok you put me Fucked up because I’m not going to do this. Look at it all.”

Then she showed paper bags filled with individually wrapped small plastic containers.

When she hands the order to the customer, she confirms to the customer that he learned to place the order through TikTok.

“I’ve never done this before, this is my first attempt,” the client said.

“I’ll never do that again,” Christina responded.

If it’s a bunch of work for you guys, then I don’t need to do it,” the client replied.

Christina’s video has garnered more than 255,000 views as of Monday since it was shared on August 31. Some viewers thought the hack was unnecessary because it created extra work for Chipotle employees.

“Tiktok tries to hack the system while making everyone work harder,” wrote one commenter.

“You guys, this is an online order, which means it needs to be ready within a certain amount of time,” shared another viewer. “It slows everyone down and then you all complain.”

“Ignore the comments…ordering before you go broke like this is stupid lol sure it will make you do more work,” a third claimed.

Others said the hack was useful and had no meaningful impact on the work of Chipotle employees.

“You just put the ingredients in the cup right?” wrote one commenter. “Line up the cups and scoop away! Is there anything I’m missing?”

Why do people say they can’t do xyz like it’s not your job?” Second argument.

If it were a bowl, would it be the same?” another TikToker added. “Will you get paid more for making bowls?”

The Daily Dot has reached out to Christina via Instagram direct message and Chipotle via email.
